Detailed Itinerary

Day1: Transfer to Kibale National Park and Visit the Amabere Caves and The Crater Fields

Upon your agreed location, our professional safari driver -guide will pick you and set off the journey that takes between 5 to 6 hours over a distance of 300km to main destination. On your way, you will have many en-route stops for example at the Mityana local market, where you will have a taste of pure Ugandan organic tropic fruits. You will also encounter Uganda’s KFC version when you meet the fire grilled, finger – licking chicken being roasted on sticks.
Proceed the journey with great view of tea plantation spread over a rolling landscape with far- gainful views. Have a stop in Fort portal Crater Lake area, where you will be welcomed by the residents ready to tell you about the history behind the area.
You will then visit the Amabere Ga’Nyinamwiru caves, a breast like feature that the locals believe to have been the breasts of Nyinamwiru. ‘’It is said Nyinamwiru was the daughter of the self -enthroned king Bukuku of the ancient Bachwezi’’. During your visit, they will explain much more about the folklores and history behind King Bukuku.
After the cave experience. You will hike to fort port Crater Lake Filed, if time allows. The hiking experience takes you through the challenging slopes of the Kyeganywa hill, which is surrounded by many crater lakes and crater hollows that ranks as one of the most beautiful sights in Uganda. Making it to Kyeganywa Hill’s top will give you untouched views of the majestically Rwenzori Mountain on a clear day.
After this fabulous adventure, continue to your 26-kilometer journey to Kibale National Park. Arrive at the park, check into your booked lodge to relax, dinner and an overnight stay at Crater Safari Lodge /Ndali Kasenda -Luxury, Chimpanzee Forest Guest House – Midrange, Isunga lodge /Kibale Forest Camp -Tents -Budget

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and Visit Bigodi Wetland in the afternoon

Start the day with a delicious morning breakfast to energize you for the exhilarating chimpanzee tracking a head. You will be transferred by your guide in Kanyanchu for briefing about chimpanzee trekking experiences. After briefing, you will be led into forest trails in search of chimps and as you search for them, expect to see other than the chimpanzees such as Black and white colobus Monkey, L’hoest monkey and Grey Monkey among others. Upon seeing them, you will be allowed one hour to experience how their character is familiar with that of humans such as laughing, hugging, kissing or grooming and how they take care of their younger ones, just like humans!
After, go for lunch break at the lodge and then after go for the Bigodi Community Walk where you get to interact with locals and learn about their daily lives. You can either participate in their daily activities like coffee picking or taking part in the coffee making process and finally making for yourself a cup of freshly brewed coffee from the locals.
After this stunning exciting cultural experience, drive out of the Kibale and continue with 157-kilometer drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Dinner and an overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge – Luxury, Enganzi Game Lodge – Midrange and Pumba Safari Lodge – Budget

Day 3:Transfer to Bwindi with ‘’An en- route Game Drive in Ishasha Sector’’

Wake up enjoy an aroma coffee /tea served with delicious snacks. You will be driven to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park a journey which covers 8 to 9 hours. During the drive ,you will have a stop at the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park to search for the unique tree climbing lions.
You will be able to watch these cats’ mid-morning as they lodge themselves between the tree branches. This experience can take 2 hours ‘game drive’ in this sector. During your game drive, you will have a lunch break and a chance to stretch in one of the lodges there.
After, you will take off on your remaining journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Arriving in the evening, dinner and an overnight stay at Buhoma Lodge -Luxury, Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge – Midrange and Buhoma Community Rest Camp – Budget

Day 4: Mountain Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for A Boat Cruise in the evening

You will start the long-awaited day with an early delicious breakfast around 6:30am. Your breakfast will range from very tasty tropical organic fruits to freshly baked confectioneries to energize your body for the strenuous Uganda Gorilla Trek in Bwindi. After briefing, you will be allocated to one of the gorilla families and have a one hour with them.
You will leave the lodge with your packed lunch and enjoy it while watching the gorillas. As you watching them, the park warden will take you through the history of gorilla conservation in the particular park sector and Bwindi in general.
As you look out for chimpanzees, you will also encounter other primates like black and white colobus monkeys, L’hoest monkey and the 3 Horned chameleon among many others.
Note; After this life changing experience, you will embark back to the park center where you will be rewarded a gorilla trekking certificate for your achievement.
Thereafter, drive to Lake Bunyonyi with en route boat cruise which will lead you through several historical islands like the so-called punishment island – where the unmarried girls who became pregnant could starve till death. From the boat cruise, you will then transfer to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Bird nest Bunyonyi – Luxury, Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort -Midrange and Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort – Budget

Day 5:Drive Back to Kampala with En- Route stop Along the Way

Wake up into sweet melodies of birds singing their hearts away to the down of anew day. Enjoy breakfast at leisure and then after, start the journey back to Kampala /Entebbe or Kigali.
