Park entry fees to Murchison Falls National Park; The Park entry fees are regulated by the Uganda Wildlife Authority ‘’UWA’’ and are easily found on Uganda Wildlife Tariff website. They are always updated every after two years and this park entry fees are documents of 2024 to 2026.
Murchison Falls national park entry fees do not guarantee all the activities in the park. For the activities are also priced individually basing on the nature and type of the activity.
This national park is the Uganda’s largest and oldest game park followed by Queen Elizabeth National Park. Murchison Falls National Park lies about 90 km from Masindi town and located in the northwestern Uganda region, approximately 4-to-5-hour drive from Kampala or Entebbe. Fact that, the park is bisected by Victoria Nile into the northern part of chobe and the southern part of Paraa. The major attraction in the park, ’’Murchison falls’’.
Individual Park entry fees
The Park entry fees to Murchison Falls National Park are divided into categories for individuals’ persons, vehicles, air crafts many more. The individual entrance fees are further divided basing on the status of the visitor. The charges are based on 24 hours and listed below;
Individual
A foreign nonresident guest is entitled to pay 45USD ,35USD for the foreign resident guest and UGX25000 for the East African Community. However, the children are charged 25USD for foreign nonresident ,15USD for foreign resident and UGX10,000 for East African Citizen respectively. The Park activities are payable per person per day, so the amount slightly increase basing on the number of days an individual is supposed to stay in the national park.
Annual Park entry charges
You can choose to pay for the whole year which is known as the annual entry fee or charge; however, it is only applied to the foreign residents and guests who are citizens of the East African Citizens.
Individual foreign residents are expected to pay USD 350; couple pay USD600 and the family maximum 4 children pay USD800 and the annual corporate pass of 10people pay USD1500 annually.
Annual Park entry fees for East African Citizen;
An individual as East African Member Pay UGX350,000 annually couple with East African citizen pay UGX500,000, Family with maximum 4 children pay UGX600,000.
Annual corporate pass ‘’10pax’’ pay UGX2500,000, safari guide is charged UGX200,000 and the tour company drive entitled to pay UGX150,000 annually.
Vehicle and Aircraft entry charge;
The vehicle entry charge is based on the kind of the car, the size of the car and the time to spend in the park.
The saloon cars for foreign residents’ guests to Murchison falls national park are charged 40USD, UGX 20,000 for the vehicle that are registered for the east African community.
Minibuses for foreign resident guests to Murchison falls national park are charged 50USD and UGX30,000 for the vehicle registered for the East African community.
Pick ups and for wheel cares are charged differently, foreigner residents pay USD15 and UGX30,000 for East African citizens respectively.
Finally, the aircrafts are charged UGX50000 for parking which is uniform for all air strips landing in the park,inclusive.
Note; The parking fees is levied on a daily basis and the en-route pilots are not charged if they do not stay for more than 2 minutes with in Murchison Falls National Park. The vehicle entry fees are independent of the entry fees for the passengers in it.
Facts about park entry fees in Murchison Falls National Park
The foreign residents are expected to present their working permits valid for a minimum of one year.
The foreign non-resident should present their passport in order to be provided with the entrance forms to Murchison falls national park.
The East African community citizen are required to present their valid national identification card at all park entrances in order to be allowed to enter park.
